Our Founder's Story

After nearly a decade working across the superyacht industry, ONYX founder Ollie gained a deep understanding of what true marine care should look like. Maintaining vessels at that level teaches you something important: products need to work flawlessly - every time, on every surface.

But out on the water, he found that many widely available cleaners and maintenance products simply didn’t meet that standard. Some lacked the performance professionals needed; others were overly harsh or inconsistent. Whether on a 60-metre yacht or a family day boat, the results were the same - professionals and owners were settling for products that didn’t truly deliver.

During his leave periods, Ollie began crafting his own formulations. What started as small-batch solutions to make his own work more efficient soon grew into a dedicated pursuit of better performance. He spent years refining blends, testing them in real conditions, adjusting them until they met the level of quality he believed every boat deserved.

From this obsession with effectiveness and consistency, ONYX was created.
